Welcome to the Excel Core Knowledge Pack Collaborative
We put together this wiki to create a training resource for data analysts using Excel. Together with your input, we'd like to:
- Develop a short list of the most important Excel skills for data analysis. There are a huge array of Excel tips and tricks available on the Internet; we'd like to cut through this confusion by taking a stand about the things that matter most.
- Gather teaching materials for each of the skills. The materials may include spreadsheets with guidance and examples, links to valuable sites, or descriptions on this wiki.
Here's a little about how this wiki works...
- Anyone who uses the wiki can edit and create pages. That makes us all authors and editors.
- If you want to make changes to an existing page, simply click on the "edit page" button at the top of the screen. The edits are done in a simple mark-up language--there are buttons at the top left that will help you with formatting.
- You are also welcome to create new pages. Simply click on the "new page" button and go crazy
- We encourage you to upload files that can be used to teach the core Excel skills. The "files" button can be found at the top of the page.
Thank you for contributing. I hope we can build a useful resource together.
